The 44th Sinulog Festival 2024 was truly an event celebrated by local and tourist. The First Sinulog was last 1980 and our family proud to witness it.
The Sinulog-Santo Niño Festival is an annual cultural and religious festival held on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City where the Basilica of Santo Niño is located.
Parade is held carrying the Holy Child Jesus, locally known as Santo Niño.
The Cebu is one of the most developed provinces in the Philippines and second largest next to Metro Manila. The main center of commerce, trade, education and industry in Visayas.
For decades it has transformed ito a globa hun for business processing services, tourism,shipping, furniture making heavy industry.
I saw this one since we stayed for 5 years in Cebu late 1970’s-1980 and studied in a Catholic school. We enjoyed the beaches and delicacies. They also celebrate the Battle of Mactan the fight of Magellan and Lapu-Lapu.
